It's true. At one time (when I was 8?), I had a passing fancy about being one of Janet Jackson's back-up dancers after listening to "When I Think About You." However remote that fancy, it was there nonetheless. Until 5 seconds later, I quickly realized I had nowhere near the coordination required to lift other people over my head, and at the same time, I wasn't about have someone lift me either. It's all my younger sister's fault for exposing me this baby...er, I mean Janet, Miss Jackson. Sometimes, the most important decisions you make in life are the ones you don't make.

SM: As a whole, yes. The Jacksons are unbearable. But that doesn't take away from the few contributions that Janet gave us.
M73: Without question, Rhythm Nation is plain sick as far as the what those dancers can do.
But when I was 8, man, the only back-up dancers were, like, the Pips and the extra Spinners!

My big guilty soft spot is for none other than Paula Abdul. I could do this great impression of her when I was like seven. "Hey beh-BEH! Got to remem-BAH! Forever and e-VAH! You know I love you." Oh. Yeah.
And I spent several hours I'm sure trying to learn the dance steps that the cartoon cat does in the "Opposites Attract" video. Even if I hadn't been too embarrassed to ask, my brother totally wouldn't have been the dog.
