Remember how our parents provided those comforting words "No matter how hard you try, there will always be someone better?" Apparently, that cliche works albeit on the other side of the spectrum when it comes to karaoke. I know no matter how hard I try, someone will suck more than me. I won't drone on too much about last night because the OFFICIAL press release says it all. To say I garnered a few votes for "I Was Made For Loving You" is a positive surprise to me. Because I thought I need two hands to count the other competitors who sounded much more terrible than me.
Oh, and the good people at karaokesongs.com, or whatever URL of their choosing, need to get their shit together. My second song choice (by the way, many kudos to our DJ who was on time + ran a tight ship up there on stage to get in as many songs as possible) was "Goodbye Stranger" by Supertramp. Since when does the chorus refrain fall under a "musical break?" The crucial point in the song did not flash up on the monitor, therefore rendering my ability to destroy the lyrics.
